You’re probably not sure where to start. Most people aren’t.
Maybe you've been managing on your own for a while. Googling things at midnight. Getting advice from people who mean well but haven't been through it. Even if they have been through it, everyone’s separation is unique. Trying to figure out what 'fair' even looks like from where you're standing.
That's what I help with. I'm here to help you think clearly, communicate better, and make decisions you can actually stand behind.
Let's be clear: this is not therapy. A therapist helps you understand why you feel the way you do. I help you work out what to do next. Future planning and mapping. Guiding you through the process. If you need a lawyer then I work alongside them, not instead of them. There’s a very good chance that by working with me at the same time as your lawyer that I will decrease your legal fees.
All sessions are via Zoom, wherever you are in the world.
Separate Ways™ Coaching
Sometimes the most useful thing is 90 minutes with someone who can look at your situation clearly and help you figure out where to start.
A Strategy Session is for you if you have a specific decision to work through, a difficult conversation to prepare for, or you just want to understand your options before committing to anything. We'll cover what's happening, what's at stake, and what you can do next.
It’s not therapy or legal advice. It’s direction and guidance. A better understanding of options. It may be working through a specific goal. Clarity.
4 ×1 hour sessions - use within 4 weeks
Sometimes you reach a point where something has to change and you’ve finally made a decision to do something about it.
Maybe there’s a deadline: an upcoming mediation, a legal process underway, a conversation with your ex that can't wait. Maybe you're deep in an emotional place and you've decided you're not doing this alone anymore. Whatever the trigger, the Intensive Package gives you focused, concentrated support in a short window.
Four sessions. Four weeks. No filler — just the work.
6 sessions - 1 hour each - use within 3 months (payment plan available)
Real transformation takes time. One session can shift your thinking. Six sessions can change the way you operate — how you communicate, how you manage conflict, how you make decisions when everything feels uncertain. The decisions you make early on will impact your future.
“The Rebuild” is the option most of my clients choose, and there's a good reason for that. It gives us enough room to go deep: the immediate decisions in front of you, the patterns that are making things harder than they need to be, and who you're working toward becoming on the other side of this.
Three months. Six sessions. The real work.
Who Gets The Dog?
Separate Ways™ Pet Custody Mediation
There’s something nobody talks about enough. Who Gets The Dog?!
I'm a dog lover -- I flew 35 hours from Australia to the UK in cabin with my two pugs to make sure they were safe and with me. So when I say I understand how much your pet means to you, I mean it.
When a relationship ends, one of the first things that may be worrying you is where the dog will live. If you have children, there's the added weight of them being separated from the family pet on top of everything else.
In many countries and States, the law treats pets as property -- or the Court simply has no jurisdiction to make custody orders. But that doesn't mean you're stuck. Regardless of where you live, and regardless of what stage you're at, I can help you reach a mediated agreement that works for both of you.
The sooner you resolve this, the better. An unanswered question about the pet can sit in the background of your entire separation, create anxiety and delay any progress in the rest of the things that you have to resolve.
Why me?
Alongside my 24-year background in family law and involvement in thousands of mediations, I've completed specialist training in Pet Custody Mediation. A central focus of that training is the 'voice of the dog' - the recognition that every animal is an individual, and that any arrangement needs to reflect their specific needs, not just the preferences of the humans involved. I work with clients globally.
How does it work?
USD$697 per party includes intake sessions, 2 hour mediation and written agreement during the mediation. The cost covers everything and is very cost effective and, most importantly, focuses on the needs of your pet as opposed to a general mediation.
How quickly can we do this?
-
You both agree to mediate and then each make payment of USD$697. Then book your individual intake session instantly. No need to coordinate with each other.
-
A 30-minute intake with each party separately — so I understand the full picture about your situation and your pet before we sit down together. You can schedule this immediately, at a time that suits you. I will also send you some pre information to complete as every animal is different and I will want to understand their routine and needs.
-
Joint mediation (up to 2 hours, via Zoom). We work through an arrangement together. If it seems an agreement cannot be reached then we can consider short term agreements for your pet.
-
if you reach an agreement during the session, I'll help you draft and sign it in the session. I'll make sure you've considered everything worth considering. I’ll likely raise issues during the session that neither of you may have thought about and you may also want to consider including them in any agreement. The written agreement is only included if time permits during the session
Your pet may already be picking up on tension at home. I can prioritise scheduling to get things moving fast. Book your intake sessions as soon as payment is made - you don't need to wait for each other. The joint session can be booked instantly on my calendar once both intakes are done.
What if we don’t reach an agreement?
The process is voluntary and I can't make a decision for you. If agreement isn't reached, we can look at temporary or trial arrangements, with a view to returning for a further mediation. This is common when the separation is very recent.
What if we do reach an agreement?
If time permits during the session, I can draft it for you. It can be as detailed as you like and I'll make sure you've thought through everything before you sign. I will likely raise care issues for your pet that you may not have turned your mind to and you can consider including them. There is not always the need for a written agreement and this will be at your discretion to suit your needs.
